Who should take this qualification?
Anyone working in a job role that requires them to authorise retail sales of alcohol in both on-sales and off-sales premises: managers, assistant managers and supervisors, or staff seeking promotion to one of these positions.
Course Objectives:
There are two mandatory units to the APLH: Licensing Law and Other Legal and Social Responsibilities. The training course will provide each learner with a clear understanding of the framework of law and regulation that underpins the responsibilities of the personal licence holder.
This will include:
- Licensing authorities
- Personal licences
- Premises licences
- Operating schedules
- Permitted temporary activities
- Unauthorised licensable activities
- Police powers
